Basic App Troubleshooting Steps

This article will help explain some troubleshooting steps to help resolve any issues you may have with your app.   

Troubleshooting Steps: Android 

Clearing the app cache

  • To clear the cache the app:
    • Open your device's Settings app
    • Select Apps Manager/Applications
    • Scroll down, and select Leafly app
    • Select Storage > Clear cache

 

Check for Android updates

System updates can result in improvements that could resolve your issue

  • To check for and install system updates:
    • Open your device's Settings app
    • Scroll down to the bottom, select System > Advanced > System Updates (May require selecting About phone or About tablet first)
    • View your update status and follow any steps requested on the screen

 

Update the Leafly app

 - App updates can result in improvements and fixes that could resolve your issue

  • To check for Leafly app updates:
    • Open your device's Play Store app
    • Select the Menu icon (upper right corner) > My apps & games
    • Apps that require updating are sorted under the Updates tab
      • If you have the option to update the Leafly app, select Update

Uninstall the Leafly app

  • To uninstall the Leafly app:
    • Open your device's Settings app
    • Scroll down to the bottom, select System > Advanced > System Updates (May require selecting About phone or About tablet first)
    • Select Uninstall > Confirm Uninstall

Troubleshooting Steps: iOS

Check for iOS updates

- System updates can result in improvements that could resolve your issue. If you are unable to update wirelessly, try connecting to a computer and using iTunes to update your device.

  • To check for and install system updates:
    • Open your device's Settings app 
    • Select General > Software Update
    • View your update status and follow any steps requested on the screen

Uninstall the Leafly app

  • To uninstall the Leafly app:
    • Long press the Leafly app icon
      • If the force touch menu appears, tap out and try again
  • Tap the X in the top left corner
  • Tap Delete
    • Please note: Deleting the application will also delete its data
