When syncing your POS with Leafly, it's important to control how new and restocked items appear on your online menu. The Default Item Status setting in your POS Settings page allows you to choose whether these items are automatically published (Active) or hidden (Inactive) by default. This setting helps you manage your menu visibility more efficiently, giving you the flexibility to review items before they go live or to automate their appearance for a faster workflow.

Setting a default item status helps automate your workflow by giving you control over what shows up on your menu immediately after syncing. This is especially helpful if you want to review, categorize, or adjust items before they are visible to customers.
How to Update This Setting:
- Log in to your Leafly Biz Dashboard
- Select the Settings drop-down and click Integrations
- Scroll to the Default item status upon POS ingestion section and use the carat to expose the settings
- Adjust the settings as you need
- Select Save to apply the changes.
